2014 Bartlett XC State Preview

2-Loop 5K State Meet Course
Sponsored by Skinny Raven and New Balance
TEAMS INVITED:
This race is open to all teams. Entries due by Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Please confirm that you will be attending with Lisa Prince, Bartlett High School Activities Principal prince_lisa@asdk12.org
TIMING:
Skinny Raven Sports will be timing the race using a chip timing system with chips in the bibs. Please tell athletes to avoid crumpling or damaging the bib so the chip will record their time. In an effort to have the most accurate timing possible, athletes should avoid crossing the finish line with their chip prior to or after their race.
Hospitality Tent for Coaches will be near the Finish Line.
Spectators will have multiple opportunities to see athletes compete due to new racecourse design.

Coaches Meeting 9 am
JV/Open Girl Race 10 am
JV Open Boys 10:40 am
Varsity Girls 11:20
Varsity Boys 12:00
Community Race 12:20
T-SHIRTS:
Skinny Raven will be selling t-shirts at the race.
ENTRIES:
Please use www.athletic.net for your entries by Wed., Aug. 13.
DAY OF RACE CHANGES:
If a varsity athlete is sick or absent, then another racer from the open class may fill that position. No other changes will be accepted.
Out-of-Town Visitors:
Bartlett welcomes sleep-over visiting schools!
Registration and Entry Fees: $20.00 per entry/race:
ie: 1 girls varsity team entry and 1 boys team entry= $20 X 2= $40. If you have 2 additional JV/Open Team Entries, $80.00
PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO MAIL OR BRING THE ENTRY FEE TO THE
COACHES MEETING.
COURSE: Moderately difficult: packed dirt that has been recently groomed and cleared of all obstacles; rolling terrain with up/down hills; suitable for spikes but not necessary; start/finish on flat straight-away.
CONSTRUCTION ALERT!: We are getting a new sports complex so please follow the signs to park in the appropriate area and stay in the zones we have designated as safe so our newly seeded grass can grow without damage. We appreciate coaches who let their communities know in advance about our new space requirements.
