Boys
Frederick Millen III of Chugiak clocked a 10.82 (+2.6) in the 100m and 21.88 in the 200m, both new Alaska #1 marks this season. He won both events at the Liberty Bell Invitational, establishing himself as the state's top sprinter as a sophomore.
In the ring for Chugiak, junior Benjamin Hiestand dominated the throws with a 53-9.25 shot put and 180-1 discus toss, taking first place in both events at the 53rd Liberty Bell Track and Field Invitational. Hiestand improved his lead marks in Alaska and posted one of the weekend's biggest all-around performances.
The 2025 Alaska state 1600m runner-up, Vebjorn Flagstad, won the 1600m at the Quad 4: Chugiak, Eagle River, South, West Meet last weekend. The senior from South Anchorage High School clocked a 4:28.78 for a season's best and is currently ranked third in the event.
Zack Kemp of Soldotna also landed in Alaska's top-3 for the triple jump after his performance at the Bandanna Invite. The junior set a personal best mark of 41-9.5 to finish second overall.
On the track at the Bandanna Invite, in the 300m hurdles, Jayden Yeager of Soldotna improved his state lead time with a lifetime best of 41.16. The sophomore ran almost half a second faster in the final than in the prelim, finishing fourth.
Girls
Maya Tirpack got the girls underway in the triple jump. The senior from South Anchorage High School won the Quad 4: Chugiak, Eagle River, South, West Meet with a 37-8.5 mark, leading the state by 2 feet.
For the other horizontal jump event, Reilly Sue Baker of Homer High School won the Kenai Invitational long jump. The junior recorded a new season's best of 16-4.25 to seal the victory and move herself into the #3 spot for Alaskan long jumpers.
Freshman Sienna Johnson of Chugiak is your leader in the 100m after her performances at the 53rd Liberty Bell Track and Field Invitational. Johnson clocked a 12.50 in the prelim and 12.54 in the final to finish 6th overall. Johnson's preliminary performances and new lifetime best ranks her #1 in the state.
In the ring, Juliet Innes of Soldotna threw a personal best 33-9.5 at the Bandanna Invite. The senior blew away her season's best by over 2 feet to move herself into #4 in Alaska shot put.
At the 53rd Liberty Bell Track and Field Invitational, Hannah Shaha of Chugiak High School recorded a season's best in the 800m. The senior crossed the line in 2:22.70 and has moved to #4 in the state for the half mile.
