Check out the top 500 boys cross country times in the state of Alaska as of September 8th in the MileSplit database. Service's Gus Schumacher has only raced once this season, but it was a quality 16:05 win against the majority of the state's top runners at the State Preview meet at Bartlett High School.
In the August 27th race, Schumacher defeated West Anchorage's Finn Walker, who just ran a 16:04 season at the Palmer Invitational this past Saturday in a fast race, which produced 5 of the top 6 times in the state ranging from 16:04 to 16:16.
