Episode 2 of ON THE RISE: Allie Ostrander showcases the full range of an athlete found within the Kenai Central High School senior Ostrander. She has never ran at a national cross country championship meet prior to this year because while the rest of the top high school cross country runners in the nation are headed to Portland or San Diego every December, the 5'1" Ostrander has been stuck home indoors due to the rough Alaska winters as the starting point guard for her high school basketball team.
