USTFCCCA National Division II Final Poll

FAIRBANKS, Alaska
- Following a record-setting fourth-place performance at last weekend's NCAA Division II Cross Country West Region Championships, the Alaska Nanooks' women's cross country team debuted on the final US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's National DII Poll this week.

Last Saturday, Alaska scored 164 points for their highest finish in program history at a Regional Championship and in doing so became the first team in program history to ever advance to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. They were fourth behind Alaska Anchorage, Chico State and Western Washington, ranked 4th, 7th and 14th in the poll, respectively.

The Blue and Gold were led by seniors Theresia Schnurr and Crystal Pitney, who garnered USTFCCCA All-Region honors after landing spots among the top-25 finishers at the West Regional.

Alaska heads back to Spokane next weekend to participate in the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Nov. 19.
