Alaska high school track and field athletes posted several personal records during meets held April 13-17.
Chase Hall (Soldotna) ran 11.70 in the 100 meters at the SOHI Mini Meet on April 14, improving from his previous best of 12.45. The junior's time ranks #16 in Alaska and #1 among juniors statewide. Hall won the race in a field of 37 competitors and also set a PR in the 200 meters, clocking 24.46 after entering with a best of 25.80.
Sienna Johnson (Chugiak) won the 100 meters in 12.54 at Quad 1 on April 17, breaking her previous mark of 12.92 set in April 2026. The freshman's time leads Alaska rankings and tops all freshmen in the state. Johnson defeated 68 other competitors in the event.
Christopher Sharpe (Dimond) ran 4:46.93 in the 1600 meters at Quad 1 on April 17, improving from 4:57.59. The sophomore placed 7th among 52 runners and now ranks #17 in Alaska and #6 among sophomores statewide.
Kodiak Coleman (Dimond) clocked 2:05.23 in the 800 meters at Quad 1 on April 17, bettering his previous best of 2:07.92 from April 2026. The junior finished 3rd of 32 competitors and ranks #8 in Alaska and #2 among juniors. Coleman also set a PR in the 1600 meters with 4:53.16, improving from 4:55.20.
Silas Hartlieb (Dimond) ran 4:44.72 in the 1600 meters at Quad 1 on April 17, cutting his previous best from 4:55.20. The sophomore placed 5th of 52 runners and ranks #13 in Alaska and #3 among sophomores.
Finn Larsen (Chugiak) won the 400 meters in 51.56 at Quad 1 on April 17, improving from 53.07 set in April 2026. The sophomore's time ranks #4 in Alaska and #2 among sophomores statewide. Larsen also set a PR in the long jump with 19-5, bettering his previous mark of 19-0.
Koda Lepule (Soldotna) threw 45-6.5 in the shot put at the SOHI Mini Meet on April 14, improving from 42-6.5 set in April 2026. The senior finished 2nd among 25 competitors and ranks #6 in Alaska.
