Welcome to the 2015 Homer Invitational Track Meet!!!!
Homer is proud once again to host this event on our Olympic grade all-weather track. The field events, 3200 meter run, and Prelims for 100, 200, 400, 800, 100/110/300 hurdles will occur on Friday while the remaining running events (Finals) including the Mile Run will be on Saturday. Here is some important information concerning this particular meet:
1. Entries will be limited to 6 individuals for each event. Entries will only be accepted by Athletic.net. Coaches meeting will be for scratches only, no additions.
ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY 2:30 on Tuesday APRIL 28th. Changes no later than Wednesday APRIL 29th.
2. There is an entry fee of $75.00 for schools with 25 or fewer athletes, and a $100.00 fee for schools with 26 or more athletes, to help cover custodial and awards costs.
3. Lane assignments will be seeded for each event. Athletic.net will post your athletes seed times. If your athlete does not have one from this year coaches could also submit the best performance from last year.
4. This complies with our Olympic grade track maintenance guidelines.
5. You must supply your own batons, shots, and discuses. Throwing implements will be weighed or measured on Friday immediately following the coaches meeting. All throws and jumps will be best of three attempts-qualifying the top 8 for finals.
6. Girls High Jump will start at 3'10"-----Boys at 4'10". High Jump will take place outside on the new D-Zone venue.
7. School uniforms are to be worn by all competitors. 8.

*Homer will still provide the main Judge for each event.
9. Awards. Ribbons for first 6 place individuals in each individual event and top 3 relays. Plaques for the top two scoring teams in boys and girls. Ribbons will be mailed the following Monday to each individual school.
10. Housing. Housing will be available at the school. Please inform HHS Athletic Director, Chris Perk in advance at cperk@KPBSD.K12.ak.us you are in need of housing at the school.

Spikes are to be no longer than 1/8".
Athletes with spikes larger than 1/8will be prevented from competing.
Schools will be asked to provide one official for the meet. Event assignments for each school will be
sent on Wednesday the 29th

Resort will be offering a special room discount including complimentary free breakfast for attending
track teams. Please contact Mike Dye, Lands End Resort, at 907 399-8118.
