Weddington High School Upsets Flo50 No. 12 Ranked Blacksburg at adidas XC Challenge
The ladies from Weddington High School (North Carolina) took the win at the adidas XC Challenge, beating out Flo50 No. 12 Blacksburg High School (Virginia). Weddington ran a 0:43 1-5 split with a 19:22 average. Their top runner was Sarah Bechtel, who finished 17th overall. Running 19:05.80 just behind her was teammate Sydney Burke who ran 19:06.60 to finished 18th.
Blacksburg would end up finishing third with 167 points, behind Chapel Hill (North Carolina) who took second with 156.
The Weddington Boys also took home a win in the boys championship race scoring 105 points led by
Kyle Durham who finish 18th overall.
